Celebrating the 10th birthday of Kendal Calling, Virgin Trains are throwing the first ever festival on a train aboard the Kendal-ino Express. The Kendal-ino Express will run directly from Manchester Piccadilly to Penrith North Lakes at 11am on Thursday 30th July and a return service will run at 1pm on Monday 3rd August.
On board the Kendal-ino Express, festival goers will be entertained by acclaimed beatboxer Beardyman and psychedelic rock band Black Rivers (see them below), who are fresh from touring alongside Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
On board the nine carriages, there'll be complimentary drinks, festival accreditation to avoid queuing on arrival, a luggage porter service and a shuttle bus to the festival when you arrive. For more information head to the Kendal Calling site here.
Kendal Calling takes place at Lowther Deer Park from July 31st to August 2nd and will be headlined by Elbow, Kaiser Chiefs, The Vaccines, Snoop Dogg and James.
