Following on from the success of this year's inaugural event, Victoria Warehouse have announced the bands who play Transformer 2.
Consistently receiving five-star reviews for their live performance, Montreal-based experimental collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor will headline, which takes place on Saturday 28th October (see their Metropolis performance below).
Blending experimental punk and electronica, Liars also join the line up. Following the departure of founding member, Aaron Hemphill earlier this year, Angus Andrew (vocals/guitar) will tour the new album from August with a new back up band.
Elsewhere on the bill is producer and composer Ben Frost, Powell and Syrian wedding singer Omar Souleyman. Having played at major festivals including Pukkelpop & Glastonbury, Souleyman's unique sound has been picked up by the likes of Caribou and Four Tet, the latter of which produced a track off his 2013 album Wenu Wenu.
Joining them are American psych stalwarts, Bardo Pond, and Iceland producer Valgeir Sigurðsson. Also on the bill are The Field, Lancastrians Demdike Stare and Sculpture, as well as Camilla Fuchs and Civil Civic.
Transformer 2 tickets are available below.
