Sankeys undertakes a chock-full programme of outstanding residencies and world class DJs this weekend. We take a look at what's on the menu here.

The Sankeys empire continues to expand exponentially, with homes in New York and London, as well as an impending return to Ibiza seeing the masters of dance music revelry garner an ardent following across the globe. But it's back at their original home in Manchester that we shift our focus to, and in particular this coming weekend which sees a full three days of all out action from the faultless brand.

Tribal Sessions // Friday 2nd May

The mighty Tribal Sessions returns to Sankeys with a line up brimming with underground house and techno lords. Heading things up is Swedish techno ambassador Adam Beyer, whose work both as a producer and as Drumcode Records boss has seen him become one of the most defining techno talents on the circuit (check out his Boiler Room set above).

Tribal Sessions resident Darius Syrossian joins him with his 'true house music' sound in tow, with Hot Creations' wAFF and local hero Jozef K rounding off an excellent edition of the internationally lauded night.

Defected In The House // Saturday 3rd May

As one of the few labels to traverse the mainstream and the underground with equal success, Defected has been at the forefront of the countries evolution of dance music since its inception back in 1998.

Heading up the Defected In The House showcase will be some of the most impressive artists currently on its current roster. Guti (read our recent interview with him here) Noir and Sam Divine all grace the Manchester club with an array of the finest sounds that house has to offer. Jaguar Skills & His Amazing Friends // Sunday 4th May

With an extra day in bed on Monday (you've got to love Bank Holidays) Sunday sees a raucous cavalcade of bass music luminaries hit Sankeys for an all guns blazing, high octane skank-a-thon. Turntable wizard Jaguar Skills arrives along with some of his amazing friends for a night that will witness hip hop, house, jungle, drum n bass and everything in between.

His sets have become legendary, as his always exciting, unpredictable technical skills never fail to deliver (hear evidence of that above). Drum n bass vikings Sigma, Majestic and DJ Woody round of the high tempo shenanigans.
