Halloween at The Warehouse Project

When it comes to Manchester, Halloween conveniently falls right in the middle of the illustrious Warehouse Project season. This, for the city ravers, is absolutely killer, as year after year they have a guaranteed 10/10 night during the spooky season. One of the two nights WHP are putting on this Halloween (scroll down to find the other), Halloween at The Warehouse Project is absolutely STACKED.

Scare Skate

Where: The Cathedral Gardens, Manchester M4 3BG

Skate Manchester, the city's biggest outdoor ice rink, returns a little earlier than normal this year to offer us the chance to Scare Skate. With Halloween music and decorations, guests can dress up and chase the monsters skating around on the ice. For the occasion, there'll also be a giant spider in an LED light web in the centre of the rink.

Coming to Manchester's newest and coolest warehouse space, Love Factory, this Halloween, is none other than the local legends Mason Collective for a night of high-energy grooves and bassy numbers that'll have your face looking like Frankenstein. If you love pizza (who doesn’t?) and haven’t tried Nell’s yet, this might just be your sign to do so. The Rocky Horror Pizza Show comes to all of Nell’s venues on the 27th, a Rocky Horror-themed night with DJs, performances, some insanely lush New York-style pizza, and more. Ghost Hunt at Antwerp Mansion

Venus presents Bitch Halloween

If you're not a fan of Halloween nights that focus on the stereotypical aspects of the holiday, then this night at Joshua Brooks will be right up your street. Venus has been supplying huge nights of techno and house to Mancunians since 1999, and their Halloween raves have become the stuff of legend in the city since finding their home in JBs, they are among the best nights the city has to offer on Halloween weekend. Monsters Rock Music Festival

Where: New Cathedral Street, St Ann's Square, Market Street, and Exchange Square in Manchester

A two-day family festival will take over some of the city once again this year. There are already pumpkin lanterns dotted around the city to drum up excitement before the monster procession, monster music festival, and a fancy dress challenge. The Monster Music Fest boasts live performances, spooky DJ sets, Halloween games, carnival rides, and more, starting at 10am on both days. While you’re there, why not wander the city centre to see how many inflatable monsters you can spot perched on top of buildings?

Born To Be Wild Child was formed by two parents who run rock clubbing events and festivals. When their nephews kept asking to attend their events, it led them to create a kid's version so they could get involved, launching BTBWC in 2017. At this Halloween party, there’ll be the best rock and guitar anthems with spooky tunes too, bespoke Halloween crafts, party games, a Halloween colouring mural, face painting, temporary tattoos, and more - and that’s just in the Pink Room! In the Basement, there’ll be sensory and messy play for the younger ones.

You&Me are a brand that should need no introduction, and it's no secret that their annual Halloween party in Manchester is one of the highlights of the spooky seasoning of the city. A 12-hour rave that leads onto a huge afterparty in The Loft, the night is returning to one of the brand favourite (as yet unreleased) venues within the city. You&Me will not be cutting corners either, as they will be transforming everything within those 4 walls into something supernatural with a soundtrack to match.

Manchester Ghost Tour: City Center Exploration Game

When: Thursday 12th - Monday 23rd October 2023 

Where: depart from - Old Granada Studios, Atherton St, Manchester M3 3GS

Whether you aren’t too familiar with the city or know it like the back of your hand, this tour, which your phone will lead you on, will take you around landmarks like Albert Square, Manchester Cathedral, and Palace Theatre as you uncover chilling horror stories by solving clues and following directions. In total, the tour should take around an hour and a half but you can also stop wherever you like to get some food or a drink. 

 


 

Halloween All Nighter

Where: 42nd Street Nightclub in Manchester

42s is the place to go for the indie-obsessed Mancunian teens and students, massively to do with the tunes, but mainly thanks to it being one of the city’s cheapest nights out. So if you love your indie and are strapped for cash, you'll be glad to hear they're throwing an all-night-long Halloween bash with tickets, including a queue jump, for just £9. £1 Cherry bombs, to £2.80 Bottles, £2.60 Vod/mixers, and Shots from £1, you really can't go wrong. Sidewinder brings 12 solid hours of old skool UKG and bassline to ravers at a venue that’s only gaining more and more respect with each event. 

On the lineup for this one is Wiley, Artful Dodger, Continental GT, DJ Luck & MC Neat, Heartless Crew, Sweet Female Attitude, DJ Pied Piper & MC DT, DJ Russke, Jamie Duggan, Rampage Sound, Devilman, and many more.

Hocus Pocus in Concert

Released in 1993, the Disney film Hocus Pocus follows Max, who accidentally resurrects three witches. With the help of a magical cat, the kids must stop the witches from becoming immortal. That’s all we’re telling you, we don’t want to spoil it! But chances are you’ve already seen it as it’s such an iconic film. This event shows a screening of the full film but with the musical score performed live by a concert orchestra in the legendary Bridgewater Hall.

The Silence Of The Baths

For the first time ever, Victoria Baths pops off with a silent disco this Halloween featuring takeovers from Girls on Film, THT GRL (of Not Bad For A Girl), and DJ MX WORLD. The venue, over 100 years old, will be transformed for the occasion, each corridor and room dolled up for the party. One headphone channel will be for 80s/90s throwbacks, another for belters from THT GRL, and another for multi-genre 00s.
