The Best Bonfire Night and Firework Events in Liverpool

Unfortunately, due to the rising post-pandemic costs, as well as environmental and animal concerns surrounding it, Liverpool Council once again will not be putting on any official Bonfire Night Events this year. However, around Merseyside, many of the towns will be putting on local affairs that fill the sky with explosions of colour and light instead!

But do not fear about having to travel too far, as all these events are 45 minutes or less away from the city centre, and you can still get the family together, be warmed by the bonfire, and watch the spectacle unfold. So, if you're wondering where to watch the fireworks in Liverpool's surrounding towns, then we've got a list here for you!

Liverpool College PTA Fireworks Bonanza

When: Friday 10th November 2023

Where: Liverpool College in Liverpool

Get ready for an unforgettable evening at the Liverpool College PTA Fireworks Bonanza! This family-friendly event, held in the sports hall on the upper school side, will feature a whole range of things to do outside of the skyward explosions; things like food stalls, games, a bouncy castle, a face painter, and, of course, the main event, an incredible firework display!

Don't forget to bring cash for the stalls that don't accept cards and have your unique QR code ready for entry. It's a night you won't want to miss!

From The Ground Comes Light

When: Saturday 4th November 2023

Where:  Totally Wicked Stadium in St Helens

Experience this incredible Bonfire Night event, "From The Ground Comes Light" in St Helens, just a short trip outside of Liverpool. Whilst the fireworks are absent, you won't care as the night features a mesmeric fira DNA light show, alongside a huge range of awesome activities including inflatables, a silent disco, face painting, and live music on the stadium concourses.

But, the highlight of the evening is a stunning fire and light display, however, for Saints fans, this will be extra special as, before the show, the 2024 Saints Home Kit will be revealed and launched! 

This is one for the Saints fans, but to be honest, anyone and everyone will have a blast here!

When: Thursday 9th November 2023

Where: Trinity St Peter's C of E Primary School in Liverpool

The Trinity St Peter's Community Firework Display in Liverpool promises an exciting evening of family-friendly fun on Bonfire Night. The event features a wide array of activities, including face painting, a tuck shop, toffee apples, doughnuts, hot drinks, delectable cakes, a BBQ, and a fully stocked bar for adults. "Bring The Fire Project" will also be performing.

The highlight of the evening is the fireworks display, and be sure to arrive early as gates will close before it begins. Tickets are priced at £6 each, and children under 2 get in for free. If you're a local, it's an event you won't want to miss this Bonfire Night!

The event kicks off with the lighting of the bonfire around 5pm, followed by a spectacular firework display at 6pm that's sure to elicit plenty of "ooohhhs" and "aaahhhs."
