One of Sheffield’s most magical Bonfire Night experiences, Illuminate The Gardens transforms the Botanical Gardens into a glowing wonderland. Wander among light installations, enjoy a laser show from the glass pavilions, and end the evening with a fireworks display illuminating the historic glasshouse.

Families with little ones can opt for the early “low bangs” display, while those staying later can enjoy the full firework spectacle. Expect street food, bars, fairground rides, and free kids’ activities all set in one of the city’s most beautiful settings.

Autumn Lights at Don Valley Bowl

When: Wednesday 5th November 2025

Where: Don Valley Bowl in Rotherham

The UK’s biggest touring fireworks show returns to Don Valley Bowl for an all-out family extravaganza. Expect live entertainment, street food stalls, fairground rides, LED drummers, and fire performers, plus two massive music-synchronised fireworks displays. Around ten thousand people attended last year, and 2025 is set to be even bigger.

Barnsley Woolley Miners Bonfire Night

Where: Barnsley Woolley Miners Cricket Club in Barnsley

After a successful revival in 2023, this Barnsley bonfire celebration has quickly become one of South Yorkshire’s best.
