Now known as the longest running club night in Manchester, Tangled enters its 20th year of business this September, and to celebrate they’ve invited some serious industry heavyweights to get behind the decks. The traditional three rooms will be playing the finest in house, trance, techno and breaks.

Dave Seaman - Radio Therapy May 2013

First up is one of the true legends of electronic and house music - Dave Seaman. For over 20 years Dave Seaman has been a DJ at the top of his game. Having been one of the originators of the mix CD alongside Carl Cox in 91, Dave has proven to be a genuine innovator in his field. He has contributed to the iconic Renaissance catalogue as well as the hugely influential Global Underground series, and performed in over 70 countries worldwide to rapturous receptions. His silky smooth DJing style has all the hallmarks of a master craftsman and his driving atmospheric, melodic and blissful sets have been winning dancefloors over for years now. The former editor of Mixmag will be joined by Terry Pointon and DJ Rascal for one unforgettable room one.

Plump DJs Mix

Room two sees the arrival of breaks mavericks Plump DJs to the hallowed Tangle Breaks room. Since 1997 Tangled have had the dedicated room for fans of breakbeat and all its numerous offshoots. Plump DJs have for many years been responsible for some of the biggest dance singles in the UK, working alongside the likes of Fatboy Slim, Orbital, Stanton Warriors and Deadmau5. With their sound expanding to include everything from electro to dubstep and house, expect to be taken on a musical trip through the genres dispatched with a heavy dose of cool. As part of the birthday celebrations, the Plump lads will be banging out a greatest hits set - an absolute must see for their fans. They will be ably supported by Steve Thorpe, Resistance and Nick Dent. Room two is going to be bouncing come September 7th.

And finally Room three will welcome fellow Manchester club nights Plasma Future and Majefa to stoke a furnace of trance and progressive house that will leave the dancefloor scorching. These guys have been responsible for some of the best recieved dance music nights in Manchester over the past few years. Their coming together with Tangled promises to be one incredible spectacle. Look forward to guest appearances from one of the leaders of the new school of trance producers Akira Kayosa, fellow Majefa favourite Tom Rains, as well as Andy Croson and Ian Wire.

As far as birthday parties go, this is up there with the best of them. The longest running club night in the city has really pulled out all the stops to celebrate 20 years of Manchester clubbing domination in style.
