Undoubtedly one of the leading lights in the clubbing during the late eighties and and nineties was Leeds Warehouse. Much like the Hacienda, the Yorkshire venue garnered a reputation that was not matched anywhere else. What's more, the connection between the two clubbing capitals of the north has been a long and fruitful relationship, which is still going strong.
The 29th of June sees legendary 90’s soul singer and pop performer Alison Limerick grace the Warehouse venue. Since blowing up all over the radar in 1990 with her club smash Where Love Lives, Alison cemented her place in the annals of dance music history. Her live performance at for FAC51 will see her revisit some of her most potent hits and piano lead house classics.

The DJ lineup is looking equally as tantalising, as the pioneering Mike Pickering makes his return to The Warehouse where he last played for SOAK some twenty years ago in the city. The guy responsible for signing The Happy Mondays and James to Factory Records boasts an artistic history that is seriously impressive. A stalwart of the Manchester scene, Mike will be using all his experience and passion for a one off set of Hacienda bangers.
Joining him will be other figureheads of Manchester’s Hacienda heyday, including Allister Whitehead, Tom Wainwright, Ian Ossia and Luv Dup.
The Shine crew take over Room Two with local heroes Graham Dixon and Mark Holliday manning the decks to spin their well renowned 1990 Kaos / Ricky’s style set. They will be appearing alongside other Shine favourites: Gary Dabill, James Noon, and Jamie Richardson.
June 29th will prove beyond doubt that the magic of The Hacienda and Leeds Warehouse lives on.
