Patrick Topping to hit Newcastle for all-day-long summer party

Patrick Topping has announced an open-air hometown party at Newcastle’s Times Square. 

His first all-day-long set in his hometown of Newcastle, Topping takes to Times Square on Saturday 30th May 2026 to play from 4pm until 11pm. 

The TRICK label and event brand founder and ‘Be Sharp Say Nowt’ producer will be on the decks for a seven-hour set as he adds Times Square to the list of North East venues he’s ticked off, including Gateshead Stadium (2019), Gosforth Park Racecourse (2020), Utilita Arena (2021) and the debut TRICK Fest on the Town Moor (2024).

About the event, Topping said: “Our last Trick event in Newcastle was on the Town Moor in 2024, and it was massive; we had around 11,000 people there. Since then, we’ve been planning what to do next, and Times Square feels like the perfect venue to tick off next. 

“Playing extended sets from open to close is my favourite way to perform, and I’ve actually never done an all-day-long set in Newcastle before. 

“We were originally planning to book a full lineup for this one, but then we thought, why not just do it all myself? So it’s going to be a really special occasion, playing 7 hours!”
