Revered boutique festival Green Man has announced a mammoth lineup for its return to the Brecon Beacons this summer. Over 100 artists have been unveiled, with Mogwai, Wilco, Four Tet, and Wolf Alice confirmed as headliners from Thursday 20th - Sunday 23rd August.
Thursday sees Scottish post-rock group Mogwai leading the fray, backed by Lime Garden, CVC, Charlotte Church’s Pop Dungeon, and Art School Girlfriend; Chicago indie rock veterans Wilco head up Friday with Aldous Harding, Baxter Dury, Shame, and Dry Cleaning; Saturday is spearheaded by electronic auteur Four Tet in addition to The Beta Band, Cate Le Bon, and Nation of Language; and Sunday closes with newly crowned BRIT Award-winners Wolf Alice supported by Cat Power, Sparks, Wednesday, and Anna Calvi. Many more acts spanning the indie, alternative, and electronic spectrum are on the bill.
Founded in 2003 and known for its non-corporate and sustainable approach, Green Man is one of the most celebrated alternative festivals on the calendar, and each year brings weighty lineups to the Black Mountains. Last year the festival welcomed the likes of Kneecap, Underworld, CMAT, and TV on the Radio to its stages.
