Made in Leeds Festival returns for its third edition later this month when it lands at The Tetley Brewery on Saturday April 30th. With promoters promising 'a getaway to a world of wonder right here in the heart of the city', the festival hosts five big top festival tents, with stages curated by BacktoBasics, Insomnia, Federation, Tidy & Rave On, and Fibre VIP, featuring house, techno, bass music and much more.

The focus is on top-level performers, high end production and carefully crafted scenery, with Made in Leeds aiming to look and sound as different and original as possible - and of course you can enjoy the weatherproof benefits of a festival with concrete and under cover setting. To try and make sense of an epic line up, we've picked out five must-see acts to take in.

Richy Ahmed

A key figure in the recent renaissance of British house, Ahmed has built up a host of appearances at major underground venues like London's Fabric and Glasgow's Sub Club

Mixing a delicious blend of house and disco, his debut EP, 2013's Hot Creations released 'The Drums' has become a classic (have a listen above), with 2014 seeing him broadcast his own BBC Radio One Essential Mix.

Denney

A home-town hero who holds a residency at Leeds institution Back To Basics, Denney's blend of house and techno has seen him invited to play across the world and acclaimed as one of the rising stars of UK house.

Also a Hot Creations regular (check his 'Low Frequency on the imprint above), his fervent local support should ensure a roadblock when he steps up the booth.

Flava D & DJ Q

A lethal combination, as two legends of the scene DJ Q and Flava D have captured the joyous middle-ground between garage and grime with their heavyweight collaboration. You can check DJ Q dropping the down-low on everything about the music in the a-z of garage with DJ Q.

They're releasing a special vinyl only release in April to celebrate Record Store Day so expect their usual mix of cold, dark grooves when they arrive in Leeds.

Riley & Durrant

Another pair of Leeds-based DJs, Andy Durrant and Nick Riley have been a regular duo since first DJing together at Sheffield's Gatecrasher in 2002 and for years helped bring the sound to the masses via their shows with Capital FM.

Since then they've straddled house, progressive and techno, but it's for their trance sets that they're best known and this will see them showcasing classics from the past, such as their own Black Hole released 'Home' (above).

Majestic

Ruling the roost from his Kiss FM radio show, Majestic is a DJ, producer and MC who has become a one-man epicentre of house, garage and grime. Reaching the masses through his collaboration with US superstar Skrillex, Majestic has toured Europe relentlessly over the past few years, including residences in Mallorca, Corfu and Zante. Watch the classic old skool appreciation video for 'Let's Go Back' above.
