Returning to Stoke-On-Trent’s Aynsley Mill on Saturday 29th July 2023, Raves Of Longton celebrates the history of the city’s nightlife with huge retro and old skool DJs from the region, particularly those associated with Stoke’s Shelley's and Longton’s Leisure Bowl in the early 90s.
Raves of Longton 2 is a day party, running from 2 - 10 pm followed by an afterparty at The Underground in Hanley to take you into the AM.
On the lineup for the day party is Altern8, one of the scene’s biggest artists, closely tied to Shelley’s. The rave duo performed at Shelley’s, even performing in the car park, and used the venue in their music videos.
There’s also Pete Bromley, the city’s best house DJ who’s taken residencies at every big club in Stoke for the past 3 decades and was the first to perform at Shelley’s in 1988.
Joining them is Daz Willott, a local legend who might have played at Shelley’s more times than anyone else. Daz’s hypeman, MC Lethal joins him to bring crowds together at the end of the night and add some extra punch to his selections.
Finally, warming up the crowd for the evening is Mikey Worth, one of the most popular old skool disc jockeys in the area with more than enough experience to get you warmed up for a proper all-dayer.
With so many cracking, experienced, legendary local DJs on the lineup ready to take you back in time to the good old days, this one would just be silly to miss.
