Re-entry is not permitted at Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest.

Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest is strictly 18+. We operate Challenge 25 – bring a valid government-issued photo ID with you. If you are asked for ID and cannot present any, you will not be permitted entry. If you do not have a bag on your person you will be required to empty all of your pockets and security will carry out a search to ensure no prohibited items are brought into the venue.

A variety of food options will be available, including: Pizza, Greek Gyros, burgers, chips, sweet treats & more.  You may bring clear empty bottles which you can re-fill at free drinking water points on site.

No external food or drinks are permitted at Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest.  If you are found with food and or drink on your person when you are being searched on entry you will be asked to throw it away. If you are caught with food & drink once inside that hasn’t been purchased on site you may be asked to leave the event.

If required for medical reasons, please speak to the event organisers beforehand.

You may bring clear empty bottles which you can re-fill at free drinking water points on site.

Camping chairs, stools and picnic blankets are strictly prohibited at Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest.

Bags larger than A4 size are not permitted on the Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest site. If you have a bag, security will be required to carry out a bag search. Please check the list of prohibited items, as anything not allowed will be binned – organisers will not store prohibited items.

• Illegal substances / drugs; Legal highs / nitrous oxide (NOS); 
• Weapons of any kind (including knives, knuckle dusters, etc.); 
• Fireworks, flares, smoke bombs, or explosives
• Glass items (bottles, jars, mirrors)
• Alcohol (unless purchased on site)
• Large bags (bigger than A4 size)
• Professional cameras, video cameras, or recording equipment (without accreditation)
• Drones or flying devices
• Laser pens / laser equipment
• Megaphones, air horns, or amplified sound devices
• Bicycles, scooters, skateboard
• Camping equipment (tents, chairs, gazebos)
• BBQs, gas stoves, or any cooking equipment
• Aerosols
• Sharp objects (including scissors)
• Flags or banners with offensive or political messaging
• Animals (except registered assistance dogs)
• Unauthorised merchandise for sale
• Any items deemed dangerous or unsuitable by security.

There will be no WiFi on the Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest site. It is advised you to set a meeting point with your friends when you arrive on site.

If you lose a personal belonging on the Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest site please visit the Welfare Tent during the event. After the event, contact the organisers via this email email:info@weareliverepublic.com. Items will be held for 30 days, then disposed of.

A dedicated Welfare Tent will be available on site for anyone needing assistance. Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest staff and security teams will be working throughout the event to keep everyone safe. If you feel unwell, unsafe, or uneasy at any time, please speak to a member of the team, easily identifiable in crew uniform who will be happy to help.

There will be a signposted lost child point at the entrance of the Groove Box Keel Square Summer Fest venue. There will also be the option for parents to take a lost child wristband to put on their child which they can write a phone number on.

If you want to arrive at Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest later than the last entry time 3PM you can purchase a late entry add-on, on top of your standard ticket, this will give you access to the event up until 5PM ONLY!

If you have a VIP ticket to Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest, please use the VIP lane upon arrival. VIP tickets include a private arena, bars, posh loos, some seating and more. VIP is officially SOLD OUT, therefore please be cautious when purchasing re-sale tickets that aren’t listed on official re-seller platforms

There is secure parking within a 5-minute walking distance of Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest - St Mary’s Car Park (SR1 3AH), Sunniside Car Park (SR1 1UL) or The Bridges Shopping Centre (SR1 1UL). Please note charges will apply, with spaces available on a first come, first served basis.

Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest is an 8-minute walk from Park Lane Interchange (Bus & Metro). Sunderland Station is a 6-8 minute walk, connecting to major destinations (Newcastle, York, Carlisle, Middlesbrough).

There are no allocated drop-off or pick-up points at Groovebox Keel Square Summer Fest. Please use the bays on High Street West or St Mary’s Boulevard. Please be aware taxis cannot wait, so instruct drivers to use designated zones.
