The Fat Cat Cafe Bar venue information
The first of the ‘new breed’ of Fat Cats, constructed in an old railway arch, Fat Cat Manchester combines innovative design with the same friendly, laid back atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Fat Cat brand.
Each of three floors adds a different element, from the chilled atmospheric basement lounge bar, to the uniquely designed mezzanine floor. The summer months add an extra dimension as the doors are opened out onto a two-storey canal side balcony terrace.
The music policy at the Fat Cat could be described as open-minded and highly individual, rather than the usual fare heard in the other bars.
Most importantly, the play-list is always thought out to suit the atmosphere of the bar.
Food
As well as the extensive All Day menu served from 10am until 10pm, and the Luncheon menu available between 10.00am - 6pm (Monday to Friday).
Manchester offers a continuously evolving of evening specials served from 6pm until Late (Monday to Friday, and All day Saturday and Sunday). After 10pm on all other levels the late night food menu is served.
Not forgetting our Sunday Roast Menu available from midday and includes the chef’s choice of meat and accompaniments as well as a vegetarian alternative.
Private Bookings
With three highly individual floors Manchester is well equipped to host private functions ranging from corporate meetings or events to parties celebrating a special occasion.
The unique design of the mezzanine floor means that it provides an unusal setting for parties as it has all the benefits of the privacy of a separate floor but the added attraction of absorbing the atmosphere of the main bar it overlooks. The leather bench seating and stools set over nine tables means that the mezzanine is able to cater for groups as small as twenty as comfortably as parties of up to eighty people.
The Fat Cat basement was designed specifically with late night lounging or partying in mind, and therefore is furnished with chunky leather sofa’s, benches and stools. This gives the area a great degree of flexibility, so that it can be used for a variety of different types of private hire as it may easily be transformed from a stylish conference room, to a private dining area to a party venue, complete with late licence, dancefloor and DJ, with it’s own private canal side balcony terrace.
As well as providing a stylish backdrop, the Fat Cat can also organise details such as security and food. A variety of buffet menus ranging from £6.50 to £13.50 per person are available in addition to our main menu
