200 years of Manchester history

1810 / Built in the mid industrial revolution

1930s / Opens as Manchester's first nightclub

1951 / Opens as 'Club 43', pioneers of the UK Jazz scene brining Ronnie Scott, Horace Silver, Zoot Sims amongst hosting Buddy Rich & Ella Fitzgerald after shows.

1972 / 'Club 43' closes

1972/1992 / several occupants including 'The Quality Street Gang' & The Happy Mondays

1992 / Open as the Cuba Cafe

1998 / Coldplay sign their first professional contract whilst at a battle of the bands, and playing alongside them was Muse.

2016 / Stage & Radio opens with Bipolar Sunshine performing a secret gig to 100.
