              The Flapper venue information

              The Flapper is one of the leading independent live music venues and pubs situated in Birmingham City Centre, labelled by NME as �the epicentre of Birminghams Indie scene�. Situated inbetween the ICC and the NIA on Kingston Row.

              The picturesque canal side pub offers you two floors of entertainment 7 days a week. We offer a wide selection of beer, wines and spirits including a seasonal collection of real cask ales. A large variety of lagers all under �3 a pint, Majority of spirits double up for �1.20 and shots from �1.25.

              The main bar offers a unique social environment for music lovers, musicians, students and everyone inbetween. With a 1am license on weekends The Flapper has established itself as a weekend hotspot with live music and Birminghams finest DJs. Due to the large capacity of the main bar, popular events such as Halloween, the Christmas period and NYE make The Flapper the only place to be.

              Weeknight events include; Tuesday night � Poker night (Free to Enter) and Thursday night � Quiz night (�1 per person to enter).

              The gig room provides you with 2 of the cities best promoters every weekend, as well as showcasing gigs during the weeknights, featuring bands from a local level to a national level. The superior stage has seen the likes of the Editors, Pigeon Detectives,We Are Scientists, William Francis, The Twang, Johnny Foreigner, A Place To Bury Strangers, Gay For Johnny Depp, Blakfish, Pulled Apart By Horses, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Chew Lips, Fanfarlo and KT Tunstall, to name but a few�

              With the largest beer garden in the Birmingham City Centre, The Flapper�s Courtyard is the perfect place to relax �by a section of canal that can only be called unspoilt, this is the finest sun-trap in Brum� (Jon Bounds � Area Fused Magasine 2009.)
