Housed in a bricked railway arch underneath Manchester's Oxford Road Station, Gorilla arrived in late 2012 as the latest addition to Trof's quirky family of bars and clubs in the city.

After taking over the space that was once the much loved Green Room theatre and bar on Whitworth Street West, Gorilla stood up, beat its chest, and quickly set about making the space work anew - turning the main railway arch into a cool, two storey, glass fronted bar, kitchen and gin parlour, and creating a 600 capacity gig/club/comedy venue in what was once the Green Room's theatre space.
Since opening in September 2012 the venue has hosted gigs by the likes of Everything Everything, Delphic, James Blake and Frank Turner, along with club nights from Guilty Pleasures, Now Wave, Gold Teeth and Drop the Mustard amongst others. Gorilla also hosts a monthly comedy club, 'Group Therapy'.
Already a firm favourite amongst Manchester's music loving community and a welcome addition to the city's burgeoning 'Southern Quarter', Gorilla has left its footprint and then some.
