Bad Boy Chiller Crew are the Bradford boys making a huge impression on the bassline scene. It has seen them undergo a quick transformation from social media practical jokers to unmissable festival set performers. Releasing their debut album earlier in the year, it reached #2 in the charts and cemented their rise to popularity.
Made up of Gareth Kelly (GK), Kane Welsh and Sam Robinson (Clive), the trio thrive of an endless amount of energy. Always looking to have a laugh, they constantly pull pranks on each other and their care-free attitude is something that is easy to get behind. With producer Tactics on hand to drop some incredible beats, the trio swap vocal duties freely.
They're an incredibly exciting act at the moment and there doesn't seem to be a limit on their potential. We thought we'd take a look at five of their best tracks so far.
450
One of their earliest hits, 450 summarises all the best aspects of Bad Boy Chiller Crew. The way the three members swap between flows, with each of their different personalities shining through makes the track engrossing. There's no sense of personality clash too, each member compliments one another.
The visuals are amazing too, as are all of the Bad Boy Chiller Crew music videos.
Don't You Worry About Me
The chorus on this track features a vocal sample that was made for festival season. The way you can belt out the lyrics makes Don't You Worry About Me one of their best songs. It's easily one of their strongest hooks to date and the fast tempo leaves you wanting more and more.
It's one of those songs that you never want to end and when you see them live it's a clear highlight.
BMW
The way GK raps the lyrics "girl I think that I'm in love with you, jump in the back of this BMW" makes this song feel like a parody but it just summarises the humour in the group. There's always something going on at all times during this track, it's a none-stop adrenaline rush.
Come With Me
This track features Riton who has worked with the likes of Mabel and Vula. As with most Bad Boy Chiller Crew songs, it has a chorus that immediately wants to get you moving. It offers something a little more club-focused when compared to the rest of their work but never feels out of place.
Bikes N Scoobys
If you watched the ITV2 Documentary series on the group then you'll recognise this one instantly it was the main theme. Easily one of the strongest tracks on their album Disrespectful, it speaks of the simple pleasures they enjoy despite being surrounded by all the luxury they wanted since they were kids.
This only just scapes the surface of Bad Boy Chiller Crew's brilliant catalogue of music that they've amassed in such a short space of time. For all things Bad Boy Chiller Crew coming up on Skiddle head here.
