The annual UK Festival Awards have confirmed the shortlist for their 2017 instalment. It sees some of the country's best festivals in the running for the coveted prizes and looks to shine a light on innovation within the industry. The awards are split into various categories, recognising achievement at different levels.
Heading up the Best Major Festival award are the likes of Download and Latitude, with Beatherder and We Are FSTVL up for Best Medium Sized. Best Small Festival sees the likes of Lost Village and Electric Fields on the shortlist, whilst Kendal Calling is in the running for Best Family Festival.
Appreciating the rise in inner-city festivals, Best Metropolitan Festival has the likes of Live at Leeds and Dot to Dot Festival and Best Oversees has Annie Mac's Lost & Found and Hideout competing for the gong.
Huge supporters of emerging events, Skiddle are sponsoring the Best New Festival award, which includes Saddleworth's new Cotton Clouds Festival, and TRNSMT, with Zombie Fest and 2000trees up for Best Grass Roots Festival.
The winners will be announced in a glitzy ceremony at Troxy in London on Thursday 30th November.
