Mint Presents

Mint presents plunges headlong into 2014 with a headlining slot from one of the biggest and most important house music trimuvirates in the world - Apollonia on the 22nd of February. Dyed Soundorom, Dan Ghenacia and Shonky have since their coming together been one of the most sought after DJing troupes, smashing parties all over Europe.

As the leading purveyors of underground house in Paris, a scene so influential to the sound of house music as a whole, Apollonia and their subsequent record label and live performances have outlined a signature philosophy that is at once a laid back, super cool, and fiercely funky affair, that continues to win them fans the world over.

Mint Presents follows up the 6 hour Apollonia special with an appearance from the mighty, mercurial Loco Dice whose high tempo, funked up techno and measured house bravado has made him a vanguard of underground dance music in the past few years. He will be appearing alongside German tech house maestro Robert Dietz. Expect full frontal attack of bouncing basslines and solid grooves as these two get the party firing on all cylinders at Mint Club on March 22nd.

System.

March 1st sees the first of two record label showcases commence at Mint Club courtesy of System. One of the most acclaimed female house and techno producers at the moment - tINI appears with Guti for an eagerly awaited Desolat label takeover. tINI has enjoyed a particularly hectic 2013 which saw her riding high in top DJ end of year charts, and with good reason.

Her unfaltering output and ever increasing touring schedule have both raised her profile and continued to prove that she is one of the leading figures in forward thinking house and techno. Guti similarly dazzled the world of electronic music with four massive releases that straddled elements of deep house with the up front panache of a tech house boss. 

The next major record label in System.'s sights for the 5th April is perhaps the most critically lauded label in the world at the moment - Innervisions. With a slew of game changing releases in 2013 that cemented Innervisions downright importance to the world of electronic music, the guys behind the imprint, Dixon and two piece Ame man the decks for a full night of irresistibly soulful, melodic house and techno that will have on display everything that makes Innervisions so revered.

Before all that though, there is the little matter of System.'s Sixth Birthday Party on the 8th February. Celebrating a staggering career that seen it become one of the most respected club nights in the north of England, System. has enticed Desolat head honcho Martin Buttrich, Romanian minimal house pioneer and man behind recent Fabric 72 mix Rhadoo, and London based 'Fuse' mastermind Enzo Siragusa, for what promises to be an outstanding way to bring in their seventh year of Leeds partydom. The fact that drinks will be half price all night is just the icing on the cake.
