How many barbecues and beer garden pints have we all had so far? We’ve completely lost track. But then, that’s half the fun, isn’t it? Going crazy on the summer fun when the sun finally comes out is just the way we do it.

Now, looking ahead a little bit, clubbing season is just around the corner. So we’ve got some brilliant club events, plus some 2026 festivals in this week’s New On Skiddle.

A chunky one this week, we’ve got three Belters Only shows, Chicane in Birmingham with a Balearic set, Faithless in Kelso, Craig Charles and Gok Wan events in Lancaster, a Halloween festival in Houghton-le-Spring, Obskur in Cardiff, BINARY X MVSON in Liverpool, three festivals in 2026, and more.

Highest Point presents Craig Charles / Gok Wan

Where: Lancaster Town Hall in Lancaster

Expect: pretty venue, two events headlined by Highest Point’s favourites, all the grooves

The team behind Highest Point Festival brings two events to Lancaster’s Town Hall: Craig Charles, followed by Gok Wan. Craig Charles is loved for his funk, soul, and disco parties, while Gok Wan delivers uplifting house, funky classics, and feel-good anthems. Cream Classics - Cardiff

When: Saturday 15th November 2025

Where: Tramshed in Cardiff

Expect: big tunes, day party, legends plus an up-and-comer

From 2pm until 10pm, Cream takes over Tramshed with hands-in-the-air classics. Chicane, Lottie, and Rob Harnetty are on the lineup for this one, meaning you can expect some trance, house, club classics, and more. Greg Wilson at The Palm House - Liverpool

When: Saturday 22nd November 2025

Where: Palm House Sefton Park in Liverpool

Expect: Grade II listed venue, intimate capacity, electro-funk and disco pioneer

Greg Wilson lands in the gorgeous Palm House, spinning tunes from 7pm until midnight, joined by Love Machine for support. Tickets go on sale on the 31st; sign up below for the best chance of securing yours.

An Evening With Chicane - Birmingham

When: Saturday 29th November 2025

Where: XOYO in Birmingham

Expect: Balearic sounds from a legendary Ibiza DJ, his first set of this kind in over 12 years

Chicane delivers Balearic sounds for the first time in over 12 years over at Birmingham's XOYO. Likely best known for his 90s trance anthem ‘Offshore’, Chicane’s sound became recognised as “an aural security blanket”. Sign up for tickets below, ready for when they go on sale on the 31st.

Goodlife Festival 2026

When: Saturday 27th June 2026

Where: Harewood House in Leeds

Expect: live acts and DJs in house, soul, funk, and disco

Goodlife will be back next year with more house, soul, funk, and disco. This year's bash saw Happy Mondays, Soul II Soul, David Morales, Todd Terry, and Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago among the performers. If that’s a bit of you, you can sign up for early bird tickets below.

Wonderland Festival 2026

Another cracking day festival, Wonderland will be back with two stages of music showcasing house and disco. With all the confetti and disco balls, street food, and sets from Roger Sanchez, Heather Small, Craig Charles, Gok Wan, Jamie 3:26, and more, this year, you can expect a similar experience next year. Irish duo Belters Only is heading on a UK tour, and tickets for Edinburgh, Plymouth, and Liverpool are ready to be signed up for. The ‘Make Me Feel Good’ DJs blew up with their tracks featuring Jazzy, and are gearing up to bring those party vibes to England in October.

BINARY teams up with MVSON to bring a lovely lineup of house, deep house, tech house, and minimal to Liverpool's Wav Garden. Topping the bill is Mason Collective, who’ll be joined by Mason Maynard B2B Joella Jackson, Isaac Carter, and Mike Morrisey B2B Basso, from 2pm until 10pm.

Shangri-La Presents: Obskür

When: Friday 31st October 2025

Where: Tramshed in Cardiff

Expect: Halloween fun, fancy dress, house and minimal

Shangri-La is back with another brilliant party on Halloween, which is thankfully a Friday this year, giving us the weekend to recover! This time around, they bring Irish duo Obskür, plus friends who’ll be announced a little later. This one kicks off at 9pm and runs until 3am. Fancy dress is encouraged.

Faithless - Floors Castle

Expect: gorgeous setting, only summer show in the country, iconic tunes

Faithless returns with their first live shows in eight years, and they’ll be stopping by Kelso with their only summer Scottish show. Coming to the stunning Floors Castle, the legendary group is sure to take you to heaven - how could that massive drop in ‘Insomnia’ not?

Halloween Vibes

Boogietown 2026

When: Saturday 11th July 2026

Where: Apps Court Farm in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

Expect: live acts and DJs in funk, soul, and disco, plus 20,000 music lovers

Boogietown will return next year, bringing more funk, soul, and disco to Surrey. This year's lineup featured Billy Ocean, Kool & The Gang, UB40, Sister Sledge ft.
