Kelela heads to Manchester in 2018

Manchester based promoters Now Wave bring celebrated American singer-songwriter Kelela to the Academy on Sunday 18th February 2018.

Having started out as a jazz student, singing in cafes, Kelela is one of the genre's most exciting new artists, having released her debut studio album Take Me Apart this year, to widespread critical acclaim. 

With comparisons drawn to artists such as Nao and FKA Twigs, her soulful future RnB sound has also attracted attention from the likes of Gorillaz, who invited her to feature on their track 'Submission', along with rapper Danny Brown.
