Jungle, Underworld, and Crowded House to play headline gigs in Reading

Jungle, Underworld, and Crowded House will play Reading’s Wasing Estate in June as part of the On The Mount At Wasing event series.

Following an amazing first year, the live concert series On The Mount At Wasing returns, bringing some of the best artists to Wasing Estate in Reading. Set in a woodland amphitheatre in the stunning Berkshire countryside, these events are looking super special. And they’ve already announced three of the first acts performing this year…

The first gig is a headline show from melodic Australian rockers Crowded House on Monday 17th June 2024. The band, with almost 7 million monthly Spotify listeners, is best known for tracks like ‘Weather With You’ and ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over.’ Crowded House has sold over 15 million albums worldwide (as of 2021) and was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame in 2016.

Next up is London’s electronic duo Jungle, performing with their full live band on Thursday 27th June 2024. Weaving pop, funk, and jazz sounds into their music, the widely adored production duo has released four albums, with Volcano (2023) being the latest, and sit with 9 million monthly Spotify listeners. The Mercury Prize-nominated duo has an abundance of fantastic music in their discography including ‘Casio’, ‘I’ve Been In Love’ with Channel Tres, and ‘Back On 74.’

Then, Underworld arrives on Saturday 29th June 2024. Likely best known for ‘Born Slippy’, which we all know and love from the Trainspotting soundtrack, Underworld has been dominating the dance and techno scenes for decades now, headlining some of the world’s most prestigious festivals while still performing in underground warehouses. True legends of dance music, Underworld are rave pioneers and most keen ravers would jump at the opportunity to catch them live.
