Far from being satisfied with being arguably Europe's finest festival, Serbia's EXIT festival will branch out in 2017 for a summer of love like no other. Half a century on from the original Summer of Love in 1967, a slew of events across Europe will celebrate peace, love and music in 2017.
Between Friday 26th and Saturday 27th May, Sea Star Festival 2017 will bring big beat behemoths The Prodigy to Croatia, a country that is no stranger to seaside raves. The 90s icons are the ultimate party starters with massive tunes like 'Breathe', 'Omen', 'Out Of Space' and heaps more in their locker, and will headline the festival at Stella Maris in Umag, with local acts Dubioza Kolektiv and Urban&4 in support.
The main event, EXIT Festival 2017, will take place between Thursday 6th and Sunday 9th July at Petrovaradin Fortress in Petrovaradin, an otherworldly location connected by cobbled streets and tunnels. Here, the finest DJs and live acts will deliver all-conquering sets under the Balkan sun.
Currently announced for the event is none other than Liam Gallagher, who is making his first ventures as a soloist this summer, and is joined by an eclectic billing that includes big room don Hardwell, serial hitmaker Duke Dumont, bluesy shuffler Jake Bugg and heaps more.
Following that, Sea Dance 2017 brings yet more world-renowned artists to the Montenegrin coast between Thursday 13th - Saturday 15th July. The stunning location of Jaz Beach scooped the award for Lonely Planet's Best Beach in Europe in 2015 and coupled with massive headline acts, only makes the paradise raving experience even better. In the past, the likes of Jamiroquai, Underworld, Example, Rudimental have all graced the festival's main stage, while a host of other areas mean you can tailor your musical experiences exactly to your preference.
