Courteeners share new single Plus One Forever ahead of greatest hits album

Courteeners have released a brand-new single, ‘Plus One Forever’, ahead of the arrival of their first-ever greatest hits collection.

The track is the latest preview of God Bless The Band, a career-spanning compilation due for release on Friday 28th August. It follows single ‘The Luckiest Man Alive’, released earlier in the year, and was produced by frontman Liam Fray alongside James Skelly of The Coral.

Speaking about the song on social media, Fray said Plus One Forever had existed “in various forms” for some time, adding that he was “buzzing” to finally share it with fans.

The release comes as Courteeners prepare to celebrate 20 years since their first live show. God Bless The Band will feature the band’s biggest tracks alongside new material recorded especially for the collection.

A busy few months lie ahead for the Manchester outfit, who are gearing up for a major hometown show at Wythenshawe Park before headlining Tramlines Festival later this month. Further UK dates include stops in Stoke-on-Trent and Leicester, followed by a nationwide arena tour in November.
