Having enjoyed a number of resoundingly well received taster sessions, in which the likes of Secrestsundaze held test events, Studio 338 now prepares to open its doors fully and calls in Spacedub to christen the multi million pound edifice in style.
Billed as London's largest and most exciting new music venue, the cities first venue to host an all night terrace party kicks things off with a suitably top ranking line up, with some of house music's longest serving tastemakers inaugurating Studio 338.
Detroit born Marc Kinchen, aka MK will be one of the superstars breaking in the custom built flagship VOID soundsystem. With a career that started way back in the early nineties, MK has been reponsible for putting together some of the biggest cross over releases in house music. Tracks like the hugely infectious Nightcrawlers 'Push the Feeling on' received the MK treatment (watch above), resulting in what remains to this day a stone cold classic.
Fast forward 22 years and MK is still as potent as ever, with his remix of Storm Queen's 'Look Right Through' being one of the summer's most defining house records, battered by DJs across the UK, Ibiza and beyond. A true master of his craft, MK is exactly the right guy to be heralding in one of London's most eagerly awaited nightspots.
Joining him will be Detroit techno vanguard Kevin Saunderson. As one of the originators of the Detroit sound, Kevin Saunderson has been one of most name-checked producers in history with his trailblazing fusion of acid house, house and techno, establishing him as one of dance music's most valuable players, responsible along with Juan Atkins and Derrick May for shaping dance music as we know it.
Tireless tech house beat-smith Kate Simko joins the two legends for what is shaping up to be an insanely good opening night for Studio 338.
