Adana Twins have been championing Hamburg's party spirit across the globe since their formation back in 2006. The duo are made up of Friso and Take It Easy, who despite the collective name aren't related at all, but their relationship with music is what keeps them united.

It was their huge releases on Exploited 'Everyday' and 'Strange' that catapulted them into the spotlight in 2012. Since then they have loyally continued to churn out tunes on the imprint, gathering support from Soul Clap, Pete Tong and A-Trak along the way (watch the Exploited Mixmag Lab below).

We caught up with the pair before their gig in Blackpool this weekend for Pier Jam with friends Amine Edge & Dance, Chris Lorenzo, and Sam Divine

For any readers who haven't seen you both in action yet, what can they expect from an Adana Twins set?

You never know what to expect from the night until you see the crowd and feel the vibe. But, we are pretty much sure we will have a blast together and we can guarantee a journey through the night.

What influences you musically?

Right now we're inspired by the classic techno tunes from the mid 90's. We love all the dirt in it, and a lot music from films.

What are the pros of producing, DJing and touring as a pair?

You definitely have a better experience if there are two of you, you have more time, you can work faster, share tasks and you always have someone you can talk to. The most special moments in life are the ones you can share with somebody.

You'll be playing in Blackpool for Pier Jam later this month, are you looking forward to it?

Of course we do. People in the North of England are crazy – but in a good way! It's always fun to play around here, and it’s our first time in Blackpool – maybe afterwards we can go to the ocean?

You'll be playing alongside Amine Edge & Dance, you've previously had them on remix duties for your track 'Everyday' (listen above), what's your relationship like with them?

We met Amine for the first time in London a couple of years ago together with Larse. It was a really fun night. Since then we've had great times at parties when we meet up.

You've hosted your own parties for Adana Night (mix above) in Hamburg, so in your opinion, what's the perfect recipe for a proper party?

There are a lot of different things to make a good party, but you'll never have a good party without a good crowd.

What track is without fail making it into your sets at the moment?

Monte with Radical.
