Review of Marvin Powell
Marvin absolutely smashed it. His voice carried beautifully in this setting. Heβs a real must see, great lyrics and a wonderful voice.
Shame the church is in disrepair, itβs a beautiful building.

Review of LUNA Presents: HELLO EARTH EP Launch
Luna was amazing! Ethereal atmosphere, beautiful vocals, clever musicianship. Clearly a lot of hard work had been put into the whole presentation of her show. The venue was perfect for her unique style. She looked stunning and her surprise performance on the grand piano supported by a cellist was emotional and pure. I believe Luna deserves every success and urge people to see her live. You won’t be disappointed!

Review of Michael Chapman Folk Legend with Nick Ellis
Both Michael Chapman and Nick Ellis were excellent. St. Brides is a good venue. The only criticism is that the sound reinforcement was about 10-15% too loud (slightly uncomfortable to the ear); probably because the sound engineer was tucked away out of the direct projection of a speaker. Other than this, the sound was good quality.

Review of Michael Chapman Folk Legend with Nick Ellis
Michael Chapman on great form, even for him. You get less time from him than you used to but absolute highest quality - even the non PC banter! Always a treat to see him and hear that awesome guitar work.
The sound was excellent which couldn't be said for Nick Ellis. At first it was absolutely terrible, the balance was about as bad as it could be with bass so distorted and loud, it was hard to listen. It did get better, thankfully, but never good. Nick was as committed in his performance as ever and his songs are getting stronger but he didn't play A Girl called Desire - sadly.
My problem with the evening was the seating - the most uncomfortable I can ever recall. And it didn't help that a start time wasn't announced so an extra hour on those monstrous seats was suffered. Beer was good though!
