Review of The Lemon Twigs
What a show! Went above and beyond my expectations.Have been waiting for them to come to Liverpool having missed them in Manchester in 2023 due to rail strike.Both highly energised and at the same time totally relaxed and at ease on stage.Really felt I was privileged to catch them on such good form and in such good spirits enjoying the show it seems as much as the audience .These guys have it all;the tunes, vocals, harmonies and musicianship ,the clothes and the haircut s and let's not forget their stage craft and presence conjuring up rock'nroll shapes on drums and guitar reminiscent of Keith Moon,Clem Burke ,Pete Townsend and the Beatles.Brilliant set from start to finish and to top it a couple of beautiful solo acoustic numbers by Brian which moved the crowd emotionally and had them singing along word for word.Credit has to be given for tackling Gerry and The Pacemakers ' ' How Do You Do What You Do For Me ' which they truly rocked for the encore.My first visit to the venue and I hope to be returning soon.Atmosphere,stage sound and lighting were all faultless and made for a gig I give 11 out of 10.Cant wait to see them again and hopefully it'll be in Hangar ,34.
