Review of K-POP Live | Athena, Leicester | SOLD OUT!!!

Me and My Daughter had a brilliant time. It was so much fun. We'll be organising to go again with some of her friends in the future.

Absolute shambles.Paid for VIP tick*ts that only got VIP queue access. seats were supposed to be included as part of the price, ended up first come first served which was ridiculous ! I ended up standing throughout to ensure my daughter got a random seat. Queues too long for popcorn, candy floss etc. With regards to the performance of k pop songs the group were out of tune and almost screaming down the microphone. If I could apply for a refund I would paid £87 for 2 tick*ts for an awful experience. Don't bother stay home and watch the movie. Organisers need to remember it's a family event if you have paid for som**hing ie seats it should be allocated seating to save the headache and stress of som**hing that is supposed to be worth the money, time and effort and an enjoyable experience not one leaving you like you wish you hadn't bothered paying or even going!

I took my two girls to this show and paid for the VIP tick*ts. They weren't very happy with how far away we were as the people standing were a lot closer to the stage. 
The stage production was really good and it's a nice venue, however I was a little disappointed by the performers,  the girls had great voices but there were some tuning issues at times.
The choreo was mostly solid but I thought one of the girls was noticeably better at dancing than the other two. 
Also,  I felt they didn't really look like the K pop characters anywhere near as much as I was expecting. 
The overall show was good but I didn't feel like the quality matched the price of the VIP tick*ts I paid for.
On a final note, the performers at one point near the end kept asking everyone to scream as loud as possible. A girl sitting near us started to cry and left after this, my own girls did not like it and were covering their ears, I felt it was unnecessary, reaching well above safe sound limits for children/adults as well as upsetting children with sensory differences.  
My girls are massive K Pop fans but seemed a little bored especially in the second half when they were singing random songs unconnected to K pop. 
The thing my girls actually enjoyed the most was having a hair braid put in before the show which were £8 each. 
The food there was limited, not good quality, expensive and tiny portions so eat before going if possible. 
Overall, it felt like a very expensive day out that none of us would want to do again.

We all really enjoyed it, kids especially, definitely was worth every penny x

Loved this. Absolutely had the best time.  Great performers. My daughter loved it and I really loved joining in. Great sets and extras in terms of screens, bubbles, fire, lights, balloons, smoke. So professional. Really great!

A whole load of fun. Kids had a great time, it was very family friendly and well thought out. Music was great and kids were free to roam about and enjoy. Only negative was the extras were a touch on the expensive side

Athena is a Grade II-listed events venue in the cultural quarter of Leicester City Centre, England. Built originally as an Odeon Cinema in 1936, it closed for most of the 1990s and remained vacant up until 2005, where the building was restored as a multi-discipline events venue.
