Welcome to the way we are... a cafe bar, arts and entertainment space, driven by our Weltanschauung (velt-an-schau-en or worldview) and inspired by the many iconic contemporary venues of modern Berlin. We are ROST and our concept goes live in December 2018. We’ll never be just another licensed premises. Instead, we promise an original brand of future-proof hospitality, driven by aesthetic innovation and true passion for the simple (priceless) elements of living: to eat and drink well, to dance and connect... to discover and create. Our aim is to galvanise the scene while establishing a fresh haven for Scotland's creative industries. As in the ground-breaking nightspots of Mitte and Kreuzberg, our objective at ROST is to reimagine the accepted venue blueprint and reimagine current area trends. Our long- standing ties with the Glaswegian music scene will come to life in the space, flourishing alongside our collective spirit through Scotland’s creative communities; we aim to consistently showcase emerging voices across the fields of contemporary art, fashion, film, architecture, performance and live/DJ music. We live in a city that’s smarter than it’s often given credit for and we plan to treat it that way. Our philosophy and accessibility is paramount. Our own stories and goals remain fundamental to our ethos, but we are nothing without our guests... the team at ROST are the most approachable in the trade.
