Room 2 Events Presents... Lussa

LUSSA | Room 2 Glasgow | 3rd December

Glasgow’s thriving trad scene has a new generation of talent at its forefront, and Lussa are making their mark. This December, the four-piece bring their vibrant, contemporary take on traditional music to Room 2 Glasgow for a headline show that promises to be full of energy, atmosphere and seriously good musicianship.

Formed while studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Lussa bring together fiddle, keys, guitar and banjo to create a sound that celebrates the roots of traditional music while pushing it in fresh and exciting directions. Drawing on their diverse musical backgrounds, the band blend original compositions with spirited arrangements of traditional tunes, moving effortlessly between infectious, foot-stomping reels and beautifully crafted melodies.

Since making their debut on the Danny Kyle Open Stage at Celtic Connections in 2024, Lussa have gone from strength to strength, reaching the finals of Hands Up for Trad’s Battle of the Folk Bands in 2025 and earning a shortlist for Up-and-Coming Artist of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards. With their debut singles, Lussa Reels and McMillan’s, helping introduce their sound to a wider audience, the band are quickly establishing themselves as ones to watch in Scottish traditional music.

Now, they take centre stage at Room 2 for a headline show celebrating the energy, creativity and future of Glasgow’s trad scene.

Expect infectious rhythms, exhilarating fiddle playing and traditional music with a fresh spark.
