Review of Light Glasgow NYE Ball

The music was terrible, hardly anyone was dancing and a noticeable amount of people left. There was a couple of songs that everyone knew but the majority nobody seemed to know. The drink prices were decent considering it was Hogmany. This has really discouraged me from coming back to light again and we were a large group of around 15 and we all felt the same way.

I am sure light is a decent club every other night but for nye me and my pals will not be back. The music was awful; it didn't flow, was rubbish in general, didn't make you want to dance all that much or sing along to it. The countdown for the bells was rushed (blink and you would miss it) and very anti-climatic. No songs you could sing along to together or any warning that the bells were about to happen (perhaps a DJ shoutout or a longer countdown). Some of my friends wanted to leave before the bells because they didn't like the club atmosphere or music. There were girls fighting and screaming in the bathroom with the ladies that sell you overpriced flip flops. Was not a NYE atmosphere at all...
