Review of Le Monde presents.. The Roaring 20s! NYE 2024

Event not as advertised. No live entertainment, no 1920s theme, nowhere to sit down unless you had âbookedâ a table. No cloakroom so had to carry large coats around all night. Didnât have any jazz or blues played at all. Letting people in in jeans and tshirt. Barely any space to actually use casino tables so unable to access so that money wasted. When asking staff when and where they entertainment would be they couldnât tell us and didnât know- obviously because it wasnât going to happen! Got kicked off a table we sat at even though no sign on it to say reserved and lied to about this by the hostess. Totally not what was marketed and we wouldnât have gone if we knew it was just going to be a glorified nightclub. Really disappointing, would not recommend.  Rubbish event.

The night was pretty uninspired. No signage and hosts were tucked away so relied on hotel staff to point us in the right direction. Hosts weren't particularly welcoming or friendly on arrival or throughout the event. It was disappointing that it seemed a lot of the attendees didn't show up so there's a lot of waiting time rather than 'dating time'.  The dates we had were nice but all in, pretty bad value for money.
