Review of Gin & Rum Festival - Edinburgh - 2025

We arrived to find that there were only 8 Makers, which meant the queues for tasting were very long, there weren't enough seats, which meant lots of people standing around. Drinks at the bars worked out as £7 a drink and you had to buy tokens, One of the food vendors wasn't ready to serve food at 1.30 (There were only 2 food vendors). The pizza I had was delicious though. We didn't venture to the other room to hear the music, but when we were leaving (At 3.00, as soon as we could get our free drink on exit), noone was dancing on the large dance floor. It definitely wasn't worth the £21 tick*t price and I wont be back.

With 9 sample stations & 2 food stations, this did not live up to the advertising or previous experiences at other similar events, which was a real shame. One stall only allowed 2 samples per person.

Group of x4 of us and x1 of our group was refused entry as had too much to drink. X2 of us therefore couldn't attend. Tokens were expensive, wasn't well organised and was apparently no atmosphere

Review of Lou Lou\'s Edinburgh Vintage Fair

Thought there would have been more stalls and bigger fair, but was good anyway. Had my hair and make up done by Jenny, she was fab. I felt like a million dollars.

Alas I was unable to attend on this occasion but looking forward to next one!

First time I've been, will definitely go back!

Really great event...loved the live music...the Heywood Sisters

Fantastic, loads of good quality vintage stalls and lovely handmade items in a stunning venue. There was a beautiful singing duo as well. All in all great atmosphere and friendly people. Recommended
