We loved Brighton Pride last year, it felt like a safe and welcoming place with a good atmosphere and a range of food stalls and drinks. This year it felt very overcrowded with people not even within the LGBTQ+ community, which is fine as allies to a degree but some were a mockery. The music was not that great either.  It has just become some popular festival rather than a pride event to continue our fight for our rights and celebrate our community, which we only have once a year.. there were teenagers jumping the fence on Saturday and security didn't even notice. It was disappointing that this was able to happen and we felt less safe. I recognise you cannot monitor who enters the event in terms of being part of the community or not, however it was much less queer than usual.. I may as well have gone to Reading Festival and had a better time than attended a so called Pride Party.

Review of Pride Street Party 2025 - Brighton

It was supposed to be a street party and it didnât feel like a street. I didnât feel the vibe was there. Think better to go back to St Jamesâs Street. 

It's a shame. I was looking forward to it but as the event was along the sea front it was windy and cold and lacked atmosphere. :-((

Not worth the money or time, feel I've been scammed tbh

Based on previous years we had high hopes for Brighton Pride 2025. Unfortunately the queuing system was not up to scratch, causing queues of over an hour to attend the street party. Then once we were in we had to queue another 30 mins for a drink and there was no system, just fight to the front. The music was not as good as previous years and it was a shame we did not have access to the St James Street pubs as part of the party. In previous years we have had great times in the pubs and then made our way down to the seafront for the club music. It felt far less community based and more corporate as when we made our way up the side streets it was quite and depressing. Pubs not allowed to play music which is their main attraction on a day like today. Do not like the new layout or style, felt far to like a festival and less like a community celebration.
