The Luces Phenomena - Freshers Week Opening

When: Wednesday 27th September 2023

Where: Patterns in Brighton

One of the best student bars/clubs welcomes you to kick off your freshers in style. And since the venue's one of those that has a bit of everything, it makes sense to get the introductions out of the way early on as you'll most definitely be returning during your stint at uni. 

There are free tickets available if you're happy to head over before midnight but if you’d rather pull up a little later, tickets for anytime entry are only a fiver anyway. And with music ranging from techno, 90s trance, acid, and more, you’re sure to have a ball at this euphoric, hypnotic dance experience.

Y2K THURSDAYS | BRIGHTON and SUSSEX FRESHERS GETS NOUGHTY | 28/0

When: Thursday 28th September 2023

Where: HORIZON NIGHT CLUB in Brighton

HORIZON is Brighton’s newest club and it's bringing one of the biggest Y2K parties in the UK to you lucky lot. You can of course expect the bangers of yesteryear from the likes of Gwen Stefani, Destiny’s Child, Britney, Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Spice Girls, and more. 

As well as this, there’s some solid drinks deals including £3 shots, £3 pints, £2.50 spirit mixers, and £3.50 doubles spirit mixers. There’ll also be on-stage games, confetti blasts, Y2K decor, temporary tattoos, inflatable drops, and even independent Y2K clothes sellers.

SOSA - Brighton

When: Saturday 30th September 2023

Where: The Arch Brighton in Brighton

Liverpool’s tech house soon-to-be-legend SOSA returns to The Arch for his debut headline show. This year alone, SOSA has graced stages at Creamfields, Parklife, and Mint Fest, and supported Fisher in Ibiza with belters like DFCW.

Set to become Liverpool’s hottest musical export, SOSA has been in the studio penning more hypnotic minimal tech grooves to further cement his place as a serious one to watch on the scene.

F*CK ME It's Freshers | Brighton Freshers 2023

When: Sunday 24th September 2023

Where: The Arch Brighton in Brighton

We’d argue there’s no better way of making new mates or breaking the ice with a massive foam party. Head over to The Arch for house, drum and bass, hip-hop, R&B, afrobeats, dancehall, chart bangers, and more. 

There’ll be free UV pain, glowsticks, LED batons, huge foam cannons, confetti, free sweets, games, free t-shirts, face painting, giveaways, and of course cheap drinks.

Mungos Hi Fi DJ Set | Brighton

When: Friday 29th September 2023

Where: The Concorde 2 in Brighton

Another one that isn’t really a freshers event but is too good to leave off this list, Mungos Hi Fi comes to The Concorde 2 for a reggae and jungle DJ set with Aziza Jay & Johnny Be Good, Prince Fatty & Horseman, and Jungalice.

Head over for this bash presented by Worried About Henry and stay dancing from 23:00 - 04:00. With such legends on the decks, it’s going to be insane.
