Seann Walsh: Back From The Bed

Where: Southport Comedy Festival Under Canvas At Victoria Park in Southport

Recent star of ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, Seann Walsh brings his latest stand-up show, Back From The Bed to the Southport Comedy Festival. A show reworked from a previous tour, with a new name, and a new focus on more modern times, this date looks set to reignite the love the country found for him during his time in the jungle. 

Called the greatest observational comic of his generation by the Guardian, and widely known for his TV work, Walsh is a true heavyweight of the game, and since his return to stand up has received standing ovations and many a bill for a blown-off roof. Good Ship Comedy presents Felicity Ward

When: Saturday 13th May 2023

Where: South London Theatre in London

Grown from a carob pod in a sunny, Central Coast national park, Felicity Ward is a multi-award-winning comedian, actor and writer who has toured her award-winning, sell-out shows worldwide, winning the hearts of audiences and critics everywhere she goes.

Felicity has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Alan Davies' As Yet Untitled, Mock the Week and Gotham Comedy in the USA. Felicity is a Chortle UK Club Comic of the Year nominee and has been nominated in Australia for Best Comedy at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and Adelaide Fringe Festival, and won Best Australian Act at Perth Comedy Festival, and Sydney Comedy Festival, twice.

In 2018, Felicity recorded her first BBC Radio 4 series, Appisodes and was a regular co-host of The Guilty Feminist Podcast, before going on to support Maria Bamford on her UK tour and opening for Amy Schumer at Soho Theatre in London. You won't find a harder-working, more original or loveable comic around right now.

Fin Taylor

Fin Taylor is emerging as one of the kings of dark comedy in the UK. From his absolutely incredible recent appearance on the NFL show when the sport came to London (seriously if you haven't watched this stop what you're doing and go, it's one of the funniest things you'll see today) to his new Youtube series, Fin vs the internet, where he takes on internet influencers and stars in the most brutally ironic ways, he is one seriously funny man.

James Barr: Straight Jokes

When: Wednesday 26th April 2023

Where: Frog And Bucket Comedy Club in Manchester

James Barr is an utterly hilarious, half-Scottish, nearly national treasure, and the gay half of the hit comedy podcast A Gay and A NonGay, which has had over 5 million listens; and even he co-hosts The Hits Radio Breakfast Show. 

Following his five-star, sell-out, run at Edinburgh 2022, James takes his brand new show Straight Jokes on tour across the UK this April, and one of the most notable stops is Frog and Bucket in Manchester. Here James will be presenting an out-of-control hour of endless jokes which amongst other things is a battle cry to be yourself. Described as 'acid tongued' and 'a masterpiece in queer storytelling', the incredible reviews for this show keep on flying in, and you won't want to miss it.

The CCC with Dan Nightingale, Scott Bennett, Daisy Earl, and Rob Mulholland

When: Saturday 10th June 2023

Where: St Marys Creative Space in Chester

 The Comedians Club Chester is the best new comedy club in the North West. Coming out of the incredible converted church that is St Marys Creative Space, and hosted by one-half of the sensational Have A Word Podcast, Dan Nightingale; this night is filled with some of the finest acts from the UK Circuit, this regular night is set to become one of the very best about.

In this June edition of the night, Dan will be joined by the rising north-west funnyman Scott Bennett; Chortle Best Newcomer and Scottish Comedian of the Year Winner, Daisy Earl; and the hilariously dark and one-half of Dead Men Talking pod, Rob Mulholland.

This one is set to split many a side in Chester, and we can't wait to be down there with you.

Emmanuel Sonubi: Emancipated

When: Thursday 8th June 2023

Where: The Attic At River Studios in Southampton

Emmanuel Sonubi has only been on the comedy circuit for what feels like five minutes and he’s already garnering himself a reputation as the 'one to watch'! Having gone from open spot to closing BBC’s Live at the Apollo in an incredibly short space of time, you will be seeing big things from this big man in the coming few years.

Emmanuel Sonubi was born and raised in North London and this Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated show looks at many of the elements of his life such as being raised the only boy and the youngest of six children, (that’s right – 5 OLDER sisters) We find out that looks can be very deceptive and what has led him to become the person he is today.

‘Emancipated’ also covers his time as a doorman in some of the scariest clubs in London, his career in musical theatre and life as a parent to two young children. Through his hilarious storytelling, we look deeper into all the experiences that shaped his personality and opinions today. World Comedy Clash 2023

London's number 1 original and longest-running comedy clash show is coming up north once again for a return to Manchester by popular demand with a star-studded, action-packed lineup of comics from across the globe. Gareth Waugh and Liam Withnail: Edinburgh Fringe preview show

Two of Scotland's Best Comedians, Gareth Waugh and Liam Withnail are proud to present a sneak peek at their 2023 Edinburgh Fringe shows. This is a must-see for all you Scottish Comedy fans, who may not be able to make it over the Edinburgh this August. 

Gareth Waugh, who has opened for the likes of Daniel Sloss, Katherine Ryan and John Bishop, will be bringing you his show that annuls the adventures and hilarious mishaps of a new dad.  A local comedian tells the story of his life being flipped upside down. Whereas Liam Withnail, Winner of Amused Moose's Outstanding Show Award, Edinburgh Fringe 2019, with over 10 million views on TikTok and Instagram, will also be bringing you his new show but is more tight-lipped about its content, so you'll have to head down to see what it's all about!

Hot Water Comedy Club - Thursday Night Live: Danny McLoughlin, Andy Askins, Tom Deacon, Jamie Sutherland

Where: Hot Water Comedy Club Hardman Street in Liverpool

There are very few people around the country who haven't heard of Hot Water Comedy Club by now. The scouse comedy mecca, most notably hosted by legendary comic Paul Smith, puts on weekly nights on a Thursday where four of the biggest names in the game come down for a night filled with barrels and barrels of laughs.

This night is one of particular note. Performing will be Chester's sharpest comic, Danny McLoughlin; musical comic genius, Andy Askins; Southampton comic, radio DJ and television presenter, Tom Deacon; and observational storytelling extraordinaire, Jamie Sutherland.
