The clocks have gone back and the nights are getting longer (and colder) as we truly start to venture into the winter months. But instead of staying at home and keeping warm, why not let the crowds at a gig, a rave, or some comedy warm you instead? at least you'll save on the heating!

In this months Skiddle Recommends we've got a whole bunch of massive warehouse raves courtesy of Warehouse Project and Drumsheds; some funny bone-bruising comedy at The Festival of Comedy in Newport, and a range of other touring shows across the country; as well as some of the very best touring bands tearing up a whole range of venues. Basically, whatever you fancy doing this month, Skiddle will have something to satiate the craving.

Music On

When: Friday 17th November 2023

Where: Depot (Mayfield) in Manchester

Music OnMarco Carola's illustrious dance brand, is coming to Manchesters Warehouse Project this month, for a show that will be their only performance on UK soil in 2023. 

The Italian electronic DJ will be bringing with him a bunch of his favourite spinners and a few special surprises to Depot (Mayfield) in November, from Apollonia to Archie Hamilton to Loco Dice to Seb Zito and more, this one is going to be a groove-inducing night of pure Tech and House wizardry. Tickets are low for this one though, so make sure to secure them as soon as possible!

Raw Presents Ben Hemsley

When: Saturday 25th November 2023

Where: XOYO Birmingham in Birmingham

Newcastle's Ben Hemsley is on an absolute rampage right now, from tearing up his debut season in Ibiza to headlining many a festival and huge club night, there seems to be no stopping him. Now touring the country with his Connection Tour, Ben will be stopping off in Birmingham for his biggest midlands headline show to date, and it looks set to be absolutely HUGE.

This one is on its last few tickets, so if you want to get down to boogie, make sure to secure them as soon as possible!

WAH in the City Pt. 2

When: Saturday 11th November 2023

Where: Drumsheds in London

The dust has barely settled since the unbelievable scenes at the summer edition of WAH in the City, and they're already gearing up for part two in the big smoke. This time they're going to be heading over to London's biggest new rave space, Drumsheds, taking over all three rooms and 15,000 tickets for their biggest-ever indoor festival!

WAH always causes the chaos with their lineups and Pt. 2 of their 'In The City' run is no different. With Andy C, Sub Focus, Bou, and King of The Rollers topping the bill, with the likes of A Little Sound, DJ Hype, DJ Hazard, Turno, Kanine, Culture Shock, Kleu, Benny L, Ama, and so so many more spread across the three rooms, it's going to be a day of the very best hedonistic carnage that only DnB can produce. Damnation Festival

When: Friday 3rd - Saturday 4th November 2023

Where: Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester

For the metalheads amongst you, there's no two ways about it, Damnation Festival is a must-visit event. Now on its 18th edition, second in the BEC Arena in Manchester, Damnation is a festival renowned for putting on a diverse, exclusive, and celebratory day of all things hard and heavy, that doesn't rely on a big name at the top, and instead delivering a day of discovery of all the best band in the global metal scene.

Where: TESTBED in Leeds

TESTBED is Leeds' brand new rave haven, and for its opening weekend, World Below are taking over, with some serious raves happening. For us, the pick of the bunch is the Saturday with Scottish house hero Ewan McVicar’s big return to Leeds with HAAi and CC:Disco! Fresh off the inauguration of his very own festival, Pavillion, in his hometown of Ayr, Ewan McVicar is on an absolute rampage of the scene, and this special B2B with HAAi looks set to be one for the memory books; not one to miss out on!

Teletech - Sheffield

When: Saturday 11th November 2023

Where: FORGE in Sheffield

Teletech are debuting in the Steel City with a Trance edition at FORGE Warehouse that is going to blow the roof off. If you are a fan of Trance or you just like your raves to have a trippy edge, then this selection of Teletech trance favourites are going to get you truly moving; with Berlin stars DJ Heartstring, Faster Horses and Leaha filling out the bill. Worried About Henry at The Warehouse Project

When: Friday 10th November 2023

Where: Depot (Mayfield) in Manchester

After their epic 2023 WHP debut with Metropolis, Worried About Henry are returning to the Depot for their own show, and boy are they bringing some heavy hitters with them. From Andy C to Sub Focus, Dimension to K Motionz, Bou to Skepsis, Darkzy to Window Kid, Sammy Virji to Bklava, this is going to be an absolute riot, with the Warehouse being overrun with a sea of gun fingers and skanking. 

However, tickets for this one are running very low indeed, so if you want to get a ticket do so as quickly as possible!

Festival Of Comedy Newport - Winter Series

When: Saturday 18th November 2023

Where: ICC Wales in Newport

After an epic day of comedy in their summer edition back in July, the Festival of Comedy is returning to Newport for a winter edition, which is (thankfully) indoors this time at the ICC. The lineup is just as stacked as last time, with a star-studded lineup that includes headliner Omid Djalili, Seann Walsh, Jamali Maddix, Lou Sanders, Marcus Brigstocke, Hal Cruttenden and more!

This one has already sold out both early bird and first release, so if this lineup is tingling your funny bone, then you're going to have to be quick to secure it, especially if you're local to Newport. You won't get a better live comedy event in the area all Winter!

The Plug 4 | Live Rap Battles

When: Sunday 19th November 2023

Where: The Steelyard in London

After an incredible 2023, Premier Battles returns to London to end the year in a famous venue with the biggest card the UK has seen for a long time. With the legend of the game Shotty Horroh in the headline battle with Nu Jerzey Twork, with Cojay vs Real Sikh; Bizzo Bond vs Lu Castro; Bobby Rex vs Unanymous; Rivers vs Holmzie Da God; and Ark vs Pathogenic filling out the bill.

BYP Presents The Hara | Plymouth

Where: The Junction Ply in Plymouth

The Hara from Manchester are a band who refuse to be pigeonholed, their ‘genre fluid’ music sees them continue to break new ground sonically and they have already found a devoted country-wide fanbase who pack out their gigs and have them rising through the ranks on streaming services.

Surround 360 presents: Schak

When: Friday 24th November 2023

Where: The Dome At Grand Central Hall in Liverpool

A special occasion at a special venue, the incredible Surround 360 are bringing Trick DJ Schak, alongside Mancunion rising star and fellow Trick collaborator Morgan Seatree, with support from Liverpudlian Beccs Vernon to do a 360° crowd surrounding experience at The Dome at Grand Central Hall.

Bob Vylan + Special Guests

London's two-piece Bob Vylan are undeniably unique. A band that thrives on independence and creating their own path, a band known for mosh pits and pit hugs, a band incredibly and unapologetically politically charged; Bob Vylan are absolutely wicked and a must-see live band.

The CCC with Dan Nightingale 

When: Saturday 11th November 2023

Where: St Marys Creative Space in Chester

The Comedians Club Chester is one of the best new comedy clubs in the North West. Laughter pours out of the incredible converted church that is St Mary's Creative Space for one Saturday every month and the gigs are hosted by one half of the Have A Word Podcast, Dan Nightingale. With this one being the last of 2023.

This time around, Dan will be joined by the Scouse cult comic Callum Oakley; the sensationally funny, and star of the new season of Sex Education, Eshaan Akbar; with the effortlessly dark and silly legend that is Nick Doody headlining. It's going to be a cracker in Chester, grab your tickets now!

Piano People | Drumsheds, London | World Biggest Amapiano Show

When: Sunday 19th November 2023

Where: Drumsheds in London

One of the world’s leading Amapiano brands, Piano People is on a mission to unite dancefloors around the world and showcase this amazing sound born out of South Africa’s eclectic music scene. Sunday 19th November will see the brands’ most ambitious project to date as they present their first-ever Indoor festival, showcasing over 30+ acts across three rooms. CircoLoco at Warehouse Project

Circoloco, the dance brand that has called Ibiza's DC10 since its opening in 1999, is coming to Warehouse Project this month, to deliver a night of house, techno, and electronic bliss to the masses inside the Depot; and the bill looks set to be one of the best of the whole season; it's STACKED.

With his blend of hefty kicks, catchy riffs and stabs, he has managed to transcend electronic genres and capture the attention of a wide audience. Shows in China and backing from a number of house heavyweights in Mall Grab, The Blessed Madonna, and many more have cemented him at the forefront of the house scene.
