Nestled in Liverpool's Baltic district, The Garage is becoming the centre point for a number of Liverpool's most exciting parties, not least Freeze who will head there on April 26th alongside Bedrock Records. a fair bit before that though there's another stellar offering of upfront electronic music promised by the delights at Rubix, who bring Franco techno leviathan Technaisa to the city for the first time in nearly eight years.

Technaisa was initially the pairing of Frenchman Charles Siegling and Hong Kong native Amil Khan, billed as a cross pollination of Europe and Asia with influences stemming from the likes of Yellow Magic Orchestra, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. Khan left in 2010 to leave the reins entirely with Siegling, but the legacy of this fusion of sounds lives on to this day, through Siegling's releases on imprints such as Ovum, Cadenza and his own Technasia Recordings

Soundwall Podcast #171: Technasia by Soundwall Mag on Mixcloud

As a DJ he displays the kind of energetic and raw approach to house and techno that makes the genre thrillingly exciting, tribal beats, Latin touches and euphoric blasts all underpinning his versatility. Whether dropping house as evidenced on his podcast for Soundwall above, or cutting with swift alacrity between pummeling techno, he's a DJ that delivers every time, as evidenced by his continued presence at the likes of We Love, Timewarp and BPM Festival.

Support on the night will come from rising star Ben Grunnell, whose releases have been supported by techno titans Richie Hawtin and Marco Carola, with the Rubix residents Chris McGee, Phil Fearon, Lee Charnock and Tom Buck all in attendance. Head here for more details.
