Skillfully bringing you the finest in local talent combined with some of the biggest stars of the underground has become the Collect! calling card. The weekend of September 27th and 28th will showcase this more emphatically than ever. With the event held in Sheffield’s O2 Academy, the same vibe as the recently deceased Dirty Little Secret will find a new home amongst the quirky rave space, filled with all the same party starting mayhem that DLS was so affectionately known for.

Dixon back to back with Ame in the Boiler Room

One of the major players involved in the forthcoming Collect Weekend is Dixon. The Innervisions head honcho has not only been successfully running one of the most highly respected house music labels, but turning out some of the hottest deep, tech house of the last few years. Having learnt his trade through impressive residencies in Berlin, Dixon has become one of the most respected minds in his field. His visionary approach and passion for his craft continue to garner him more and more praise. This is your chance to catch the German tastemaker in action.

Apollonia Live

Joining him will be the French triumvirate of Apollonia. Dyed Soundorom, Dan Ghenacia and Shonky are without doubt the current darlings of underground house music. Having honed their craft for years and individually pumping out some of the freshest house music in Europe, the three have been putting on mesmerizing shows across the globe as their supercool low slung house vibe is dispatched through epically enthralling back to back sets. Their sets have become the stuff of legends as the Parisian mavericks and label bosses effortlessly wade between cooler house cuts and more upfront dancefloor killers in a style that only they can master. Nobody gets a party started quite like these guys.

Stephan Bodzin - Tronic Podcast

Other DJs to look forward to include Bremen favourite Stephan Bodzin. Stephan has enjoyed huge success as his releases have been snapped up by some of the biggest techno labels out there. His sound is both forward thinking, experimental and technically brilliant, and most importantly, has been responsible for devastating dancefloors around Europe for some time. Collect! have organised nothing short of a master craftsmen to represent the techno side of proceedings.

We can also look forward to the deep melodic house stylings of Tube & Berger, as well as Hotflush’s Kris Wadsworth.

All the ingredients are in place for one mother of a weekender. Sheffield is definitely the place to be for house and techno fiends this September.
