Luke Jerram’s art installation ‘Gaia’ is coming to Trafford Palazzo

From September 9, people will be able to see Luke Jerram’s Gaia at Manchester’s Trafford Palazzo. Combining art, sound and science, the free immersive art exhibition is a seven-metre installation created using NASA imagery to observe the Earth at a smaller scale.

Since its debut, Gaia has appeared around the globe in galleries, public spaces and historic venues. For a month-long residency, Gaia will be exhibited in Greater Manchester for the first time, accompanied by a composition from BAFT-winning composer Dan Jones.

Luke Jerram is a British multi-disciplinary artist creating ambitious sculptures, live art projects and installations. He has previously created floating installations of mars, sun and the moon.
