Bar Glue

When: Tuesday to Thursday 3pm-11pm and Friday to Saturday 3pm-12am

Award-winning and ranked #2 in the UK’s Top 50 Bars, Bar Glue is at the iconic Albert Docks, bringing minimal European vibes so all the focus can be on their eleven imaginative cocktails. Easily one of the best cocktail bars in Liverpool, the talented team collaborate with drink experts from all over the world, so you already know how good these cocktails are going to be. A highlight is Bibi, offering a sweet experience with honeycomb, cacao, espresso, Absolut and Rhum JM Volcanique. Other cocktails like A Fox in the Outback have their popular flavoured foams, which are always fun to sip on. The bar is owned by friends who have interesting stories behind each drink, and they’re happy to talk about them, so give them an ask if you’re brave enough.

 


 

Arts Bar Baltic

They have the classics like a martini and Go Figure, but you can also get adventurous with a range of flavours and worlds, each drink being an experience. If you like a sweet drink, there’s Spanner in The Works (mezcal sieste misterois, raspberry, Cocchi Rosa vermouth, chocolate milk wash), or if you’re in the mood for a spiced drink, there’s the East Asian inspired Ray Ray Picante (Tapatio tequila, cucumber, lime sherbet, chilli, Thai bitters). Simone's Cocktail Club

When: Monday to Friday from 5pm-1am, Fridays and Saturdays from 3pm-1am

If you’re in the mood for a bar hop adventure, start off at Sister Ray and then walk over to their cosy sister bar, Simone’s Cocktail Club. Their cocktails are experimental and praised for being perfectly crafted with a range of flavours. Petite Café Du Coin

When: Monday to Friday 3pm-1am and Saturday to Sunday 12pm-1am

Along with the classics, the art-deco-style bar has cocktails categorised into Europe, North America, South America and Asia. Surrounded by some gorgeous interiors, you’ll be travelling the world through cocktails. Explore Sri Lankan and Japanese to Cuban and French-inspired drinks. They also have their hall-of-famers like the spicy and sour Paloma El Fuego or the Caribbean-inspired Cafe Lucia and many more Hummingbird classics.

 


Slowpour

Where: Basement, Ropes and Twines, 70 Bold Street, L1 4HR

Slowpour is a female-owned basement cocktail bar underneath Ropes & Twines, and they’re doing something different in the Liverpool cocktail scene. With drinks and flavours slowly and intentionally created, they have a unique way of serving drinks. Pick between contrasting ‘Light’ and ‘Dark’ options with interesting flavours like cream cheese, strawberry honey, milk and Chandon. Or if you’re looking for something with a kick, try their light chilli cocktail or get adventurous with their dark chilli cocktail for more of that fiery depth.
