Lowdown presents Stanton Warriors

Lowdown return once again to Sound Control, this time inviting the mighty Stanton Warriors to headline. As one of the most formidable DJing duos ever, Stanton Warriors are better placed than anyone to fulfill the insatiable appetite for forward thinking underground sounds held by Manchester most dedicated bass music devotees.

Becoming the first breaks outfit to get signed to a major label, Stanton Warriors have forged a reputation since their inception as a duo able to bring together disparate influences, deftly translating them into an devastating  dance floor ensemble. Not only have their productions continued to capture the imagination of the rave hungry public, but their live sets in particular have further cemented their unparalleled skill and significant importance to the scene.

Regularly taking in elements as varied as hip hop, jungle, and house, throwing them together in a punkish, irreverent and yet immaculate manner with dexterity and unbridled creativity. The prowess Dominic Butler and mark Yardley possess behind the decks is a marvel, one that has been causing carnage on dance floors across the world for well over 15 years. Their melting pot of low down, low slung, booty shaking bass filled madness has spawned many imitators, but none have come close to matching the originators. Just check out Stanton Warriors in the Mixmag DJ lab (above) for a taste of what to expect.

Their sets at Lowdown in particular have become legendary affairs, which is no doubt why they have become regular favourites of the Manchester night. With each set they play building on the last, their appearance at Sound Control on the 7th is eagerly anticipated, as the duo continue to forge new pathways in the way they connect their vision to their audience in the live setting.

As usual, unmissable bass heavy wares are expected at Lowdown’s newest edition.
