As one of Sankeys flagship nights, Tribal Sessions continues to go from strength to strength in its championing of underground, discerning house music. It's only fitting that at the helm of the widely acclaimed Sankeys night comes the evergreen talents of true house music authority Darius Syrossian.
Having been a long standing servant of the Sankeys brand, along with Steve Lawler's dark house empire VIVa Warriors, Darius Syrossian has over time placed himself out inf front as one of the true modern day pioneers of house music, ignoring trend and fashion to purvey quality, unmoved by vapid fads that can come and go.
Having set up and run his own record store between the 90's and 2009, Darius is a true music obsessive, with his passion for has craft exuding from himself with each and every live performance he gives. Joining him for Tribal Sessions during the next few months will be a host of house music's finest, all fierce forces in in the scene at the moment.
Joining Syrossian will be the impressive live talents of hardware wielding KiNK, a man whose experimenting with house, acid, techno and broken beat has made him one of the most exciting live performers around. Juast check out his Boiler Room set above and try not to get excited. Crosstown Rebels and Hot Creations favourite Mineo, local hero Jozef K, and Chibuku resident Holly Lester round of this belting edition of Tribal Sessions.
Irrepresible Swede Adam Beyer heads up May's installment. With a career spanning two decades, Beyer has repeatedly cemented his place in the upper echelons of the techno elite, with his Drumcode imprint becoming one of the most essential labels in the genre today, showcasing a hard, raw percussive and looped ideal that is instantly recognisable. Syrossian joins him, along with the increasingly busy wAFF, Jozef K and Freeman & Farrely.
Darius returns to the fore on June 6th, joined by Hamburg based crowd favourite Sidney Charles (above), complete with his arsenal of groove laden bassy house records and driving percussive persuasions that have made him so in demand. Tenerife native and Roush records owner Hector Couto joins him, with Jozef K and Finn completing a line up of forward thinking house music luminaries.
