After the relieving hilarity of Saturday Night Live UK breathes new life into Saturday evenings across the country, the crew are responding by keeping the big names coming, as Jack Whitehall has now been confirmed as the latest host, with Jorja Smith joining as the night’s musical guest.

The comedian and actor will take over hosting duties of the new British edition of the iconic sketch show on April 11th, stepping into the role for the fourth episode of the series, opening with the iconic monologue, before throwing himself into a full run of sketches, from the clever to the topical to the absurd, across the show.

Jack Whitehall will host Saturday Night Live UK on April 11, joined by Jorja Smith, as the new series continues on Sky and NOW.

He follows in the footsteps of Tina Fey and Jamie Dornan, who helped launch the UK version when it debuted this month, bringing the long-running US format to London with its mix of topical sketches, live performances and the UK take on the classic Weekend Update segment.

The series continues this week (April 4) with Riz Ahmed set to host and Kasabian as musical guests, before Whitehall takes the reins the following weekend.

Broadcast live from London on Sky and NOW, SNL UK will then pause for a week before returning on April 25 for four more episodes as the debut season rolls on.
