Not everyone can say that they are proud owners of a Blue Peter Gold Badge, but Harry Styles isn't just anybody. Awarded backstage at his 12th show on Saturday 4th July by Blue Peter presenter Shini Muthukrishnan, Styles was recognised for breaking the record for the longest residency by a musician at Wembley Stadium. As well as his musical career and inspiring young people to be creative and have the confidence to follow their dreams.
Known for being one of the longest-running children’s shows, Blue Peter The Gold Blue Peter Badge is awarded to individuals in recognition and celebration of their extraordinary achievements. The Gold Blue Peter Badge has also been awarded to the likes of Madonna, Ed Sheeran and Sir Paul McCartney.
Speaking about the award, Harry Styles said, "I grew up watching Blue Peter and I never thought I would get one of these…This might be my proudest achievement. If you are watching Blue Peter, I wish you luck in all your future endeavours, keep dreaming, and treat people with kindness."
