The long wait for Gareth Emery's sophomore album is nearly over, with Drive due for release on April 1st. Taking some four years to come to fruition, the wait for a follow up to the critically lauded Northern Lights long player has by all accounts been well worth it, with Emery placing new emphasis on pushing his sound out of genre confines, representing a myriad of varying styles.
In Emery's own words 'It’s all about songs and melodies - a step away from EDM festival drops', whilst adding ' yes, there are a varieties of styles represented, but each and every track is absolutely Gareth Emery'.
The Garuda mastermind will be bringing his exclusive Drive launch party to Manchester's iconic Albert Hall on Saturday 10th May, and in true Emery fashion, tickets are already flying out.
He will be joined by guest vocalist Bo Bruce who features on the track 'U' (above), Roxanne Emery and Christina Novelli, all of whom appear on Drive, showcasing an impressive live spectacle for his eagerly awaited headline slot. Elsewhere Radio 1 dance music authority Danny Howard joins the line up, whose technical abilities and encyclopedic musical knowledge is a surefire hit.
Mirroring Emery's unique blend of electro, trance and house, the line up reads like a thrilling cross section of some of those genres leading DJs, with appearances also penned in for Bryan Kearney, Luke Bond and Nick Coulson among many more.
Working together with Goodgreef, Trof, and of course Garuda, this is shaping up to be an almighty launch party, put together by some of the country's most experienced rave connoisseurs.
