Forwards Festival announce first names for 2026

Tems, Wet Leg, Dijon, and Maribou State will make their Bristol debuts as the festival returns to Clifton Downs this summer.

Forwards have announced the first wave of its 2026 lineup. The Bank Holiday festival returns to Clifton Downs in Bristol for its fifth edition on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August. 

Among the headliners are Mercury Prize-winning rapper Little Simz, acclaimed experimental pop singer Self Esteem, and Aussie punk group Amyl & The Sniffers who make a return to the festival, while Grammy-winner Tems, indie rock band Wet Leg, and neo-soul artist Dijon will perform in Bristol for the first time. Other names on the mast include Joy Crookes, Tricky, Goldie, Viagra Boys, Oklou, and Jim Legxacy, and electronic duo Maribou State in their Bristol debut.  

As with previous editions, Forwards features an array of award-laden music and artists that cross genres, and features talks programme The Information making a return.
