FORMATGG celebrates 10 years at Liverpool's BOXPARK this weekend

FORMATGG - The Ultimate Gaming Social - returns this weekend, marking its 10th Anniversary with a full takeover of Liverpool's BOXPARK on Friday 2nd October.

Europe’s biggest games industry nightlife festival, FORMATGG sits at the intersection of gaming and music, bringing together creators, developers, and fans for a celebration that folds in esports, cosplay, street food, and late-night energy all under one roof, with this anniversary edition moving into a brand-new venue to mark the momentous occasion.

Across the night, attendees will be able to play games from a huge mix of studios and exhibitors, meet developers and creators, explore the Razer Technology Zone, check out the FORMAT Collection fashion pop-up and jump into the Coalesce Esports Zone, where fans can take on some of the UK’s top Valorant players.

There’s also a packed sonic programme on the main stage, hosted by JoJoy and Ed Templer, with performances from Ready Singer One, giving choral renditions of gaming music; Lucia La Rezza, going live game soundtrack performances; The Just Dancers, performaing the classics from the game of the same name; as well as grooves from the likes of Lay Marie, Techno Spartans, DJ Basha, Matt Frequencies, BEKIMACHINE & Audeo and Dean stretching from more gaming-inspired live music into house, techno, K-pop and late-night DJ sets.

This year also sees FORMATGG launch its first Cosplay Charity Catwalk Show, with community cosplayers taking over the stage in support of Make-A-Wish UK, alongside a live charity raffle and interactive performances throughout the evening.

Beyond the main programme, there’ll be a dedicated South Asian Gaming Zone, the return of the Kuoda VIP Creator Lounge, livestreams, networking opportunities, street-food vendors and bars, plus a venue full of studios, brands and communities showcasing what they’re working on.
